Osasuna Promesas Signs Midfielder Manu Rico

Club Atlético Osasuna and Sociedad Deportiva Huesca have reached an agreement for the loan of midfielder Manu Rico, which includes an option for a permanent transfer.

Club Atlético Osasuna has reached an agreement with S.D. Huesca to loan midfielder Manu Rico through the end of the season. Rico will join Osasuna Promesas immediately. The agreement includes an option for a permanent transfer and a two-season partnership with the Huesca native.

Manu Rico Del Valle (born Jan. 11, 2003, in Huesca) is an attacking midfielder who worked his way up through the S.D. Huesca system after joining from Peñas Oscenses. He joined the Huesca first team for preseason camp as a teenager and made his professional debut on Dec. 20, 2021, at age 18. In January 2024, he went on loan to A.D. Ceuta in the Primera Federación, and the following year played for S.D. Tarazona, where he faced Osasuna Promesas. This season, with S.D. Huesca’s first team, he appeared in eight LaLiga Hypermotion matches and three Copa del Rey matches, including one against Osasuna. He has played 30 matches in Segunda Federación, 43 in Primera Federación, 20 in LaLiga Hypermotion and nine in Copa del Rey.
